5 Communities for Creative Women

When it comes to doing good work, communities that rally together in support are important to sustaining and growing your creative hustle. So, with this month marking a celebration of women's history and International Women's Day less than 24 hours away, I thought I would share with you a few communities for creative women. Women empowering women + creatives inspiring creatives = total no-brainer, right? Keep on reading to see the list. The best part, each and every one has an online counterpart to the IRL community, so you can join in from wherever you are.

The Creative Lady Directory

The Creative Lady Directory is a place to show your best work and network with creative bosses. List yourself and your business in the directory and sign-up for freelance wisdom, literally, from the team at freelance-wisdom.com who shares regular interviews from freelancers and entrepreneurs making their mark.

The Yellow Collective

The Yellow Collective is on a mission to "help creative, entrepreneurial women become agents of good." Along with hosting an annual gathering of female creatives - complete with speakers and hands-on business workshops - this community also has a collective membership platform with online and local chapter meetups to keep the inspiration and support going all year long. (Want to join? Take 10% off your quarterly membership dues with my referral link here)

Create Cultivate

Create Cultivate is a "movement for women looking to create and cultivate the career of their dreams." Not only exclusive to women in creative professions - what's in a name anyway - Create Cultivate hosts conferences and meetups in major cities across the U.S. where attendees can network and learn from experts in business on topics like brand building and leadership.

Belong magazine is a "quarterly digital and print magazine celebrating the art and community of blogging, social media and entrepreneurship." Take it from me, this mag always full of page-turning goodness and real stories from creative women. More than just a magazine, one way to connect with creatives tuned in to the #youbelong movement is to join the conversation over at the positive-vibes-only Belong Facebook group.

Rising Tide Society

The Rising Tide Society is all about forming local community gatherings and support networks of creative professionals. A favorite to creatives in the wedding industry, photographers, and maker businesses, #TuesdaysTogether meetups happen across the U.S. in local chapters the second Tuesday of each month. The buzz always continues online with monthly social media challenges and webinars on creative business topics - from marketing to finance, and anything in between.

Savvy Collective

I know, I said 5 - but I just like you so much I had to mention one more community that you're welcome to. Yes, you can sit with us. Join the Savvy Collective newsletter mailing list right here for regular inspiration and resources to fuel your creative hustle. Plus, you will get instant access to the *kickass and totally free* Savvy Library with business guides, actionable worksheets, branding bundles -- and more added each month.
